With the recent art journal handout, I wanted to also have a way to start cataloging techniques, or as I call them "tools for your toolbelt". The way I see it, the more tools you have the more expressive your art can be.
This is a watercolor resist. It is pretty simple.
1. Draw your image with crayons/oil pastels. (Note. Do NOT use watersoluable ones)
2. Paint over top of the image with watercolor. The crayons repel the watercolor leaving the image intact.
